The Sukisan Foundation was created in memory of my beloved Suki.
Suki was born September 12, 1999.
I found her under my porch!
Suki came into my life blind and deaf and very hungry (Like ALL newborns!). As kittens do, she outgrew these normal birth disadvantages, except for the Hungry part!
The neighborhood feral community refused to admit she was one of theirs after they all inspected her. They shrugged and said "not mine”!!
On August 2, 2016, just before her 17th birthday, she went back to the angels after a long battle with diabetes-related illnesses.

As a result of Suki’s diabetes, she needed injections of insulin every day.
At the time, there was an organization who gave HUGE Discounts so I could afford to purchase her medicine and syringes.
Unfortunately, this benefit is no longer available and that is why I have created The Sukisan Foundation so pet parents do not have to give up or euthanize their beloved companions..
Since there are so many organizations which provide low-cost or free Spay/Neuter, Sukisan does not offer funding for this service.
Please go online and look for these organizations in your area.
Currently, Sukisan is a Florida Non-Profit Corporation and we are distributing to local Food Banks. In the near future, we will be a 501(C)3! At that time, Pet Parents will be able to submit an application to receive benefits by meeting criterion determined by the Board. ALL applications will be reviewed and, if they qualify for our help, benefits will be distributed directly to Board Certified Veterinarians. Food and supplies will be sent directly to applicants. No checks or payments will be given to applicants.
